因为主业不够，副业来凑。主业保生存，副业保发展。主业是稳定性，副业是可能性。主业是主动收入，副业可能是被动收入。主业是开水馒头，副业是红酒龙虾。主业确保饿不死，副业负责吃得好。主业是挑水，副业是挖井，没有人愿意挑一辈子水，所以愿意下班后自觉去挖井。
但事实上并不是每个人的副业都是挖井，绝大多数人的副业依然是挑水，而这样的副业对于自己的长期发展，并不会产生质的改变。
想做副业首先要搞清楚你做副业的出发点是什么？
大多数人做副业只是想利用业余时间多一点收入赚点零花钱，比如跑跑专车、接点私活、送送外卖、刷单点赞、试用评测……之类的短平快项目。
在我看来这就是得不偿失，本来业余时间就很稀缺很宝贵，如果拿去做如此简单的变卖，实在是很可惜，这一类的项目只会让你变得更加忙碌和疲于奔命，解决不了根本问题。
做这样的事情，三年五年后你还是老样子，因为方向不对努力就是白费。
我们上班是为了什么？
就是为了有一天能不上班！能有更多的时间和金钱做更有价值的事情，比如思考、陪伴家人、创造价值、享受生活……
如果你做的副业对你实现这一目标没有任何帮助，只是你上班的延伸，那就没什么意义了。
上班本来就够忙的了，为了一点散碎银子下了班又上班真的是得不偿失，你会陷入到这种简单模式中难以抽身，哪年哪月才能实现不上班也有钱花的状态呢？
下班后又去做和本职工作本质相同的事情，这其实就是变相加班。不加班这绝不是懒惰，相反做容易做的事情，透支和贱卖自己的生命、体力和精力才是真正的懒惰，未经思考的生活才是真正的懒惰。
绝大多数人的工作都是靠变卖时间换钱，每天卖八个小时，至于到底产生了多大的价值不关心，只关心月底拿工资，总嫌钱不够，下了班再还想变卖四个小时，这种赚钱方式都不能称之为赚钱，只能叫挣钱。
挣字怎么写？提手旁加一个争，也就是要靠双手去争取、争夺、甚至是争抢，那状态一定不是愉悦和轻松的，所以职场会有勾心斗角，小生意会有抢占地盘大打出手，因为他们都是在挣钱，不靠双手争就没饭吃，双手永远也不能从生产工具上转移开去做其他的事，否则就断粮，只能干一天挣一天的钱，这也是为什么大多数人辛劳一辈子也摆脱不了打工命运的根源。
