据悉，鲍勃是在曼城的训练中受伤，他在没有身体接触的情况下腿部骨折，在俱乐部做出全面的评估之前，他康复所需要的时间暂时无法确定。这位21岁的挪威边锋本赛季是有望进入曼城一线队的球员，但这次的受伤无疑将会直接影响他的职业生涯。
这可能会迫使曼城进入转会市场，瓜迪奥拉在夏窗卖出了阿尔瓦雷斯和塞尔吉奥-戈麦斯，但他们只引入了萨维尼奥。目前，曼城和纽卡的中场球员吉马良斯联系在一起，但曼城不愿意为他付出1亿英镑的转会费。萨维尼奥和多库可以胜任球队边路的位置，另外上赛季，曼城还把B席作为在右路的首选。
目前，曼城正在考虑是否将鲍勃送往巴塞罗那，让世界著名的外科医生拉蒙-库加特为其做手术。库加特医生在过去为很多世界知名的球员做过手术，哈兰德就是其中之一。这场伤病对于鲍勃来说是一个噩耗，因为他在季前赛的比赛当中发挥非常出色。在谈及鲍勃时，瓜迪奥拉表示：“有时候他显得有些被动，但他有一些独特的东西。他在移动时的前一、两步，无论是向左还是向右，都令人难以置信。”
鲍勃在曼城的青训中也一直表现很出色，上赛季他出场26次，其中最出色的是在1月份球队客场战胜纽卡的比赛中，当时他接德布劳内的传球完成了一记非常漂亮的进球。在接下来的一个月，曼城给了鲍勃一份新的合同，这份合同将会持续到2029年。另外，鲍勃在去年10月份首次亮相国际赛场，在为挪威出战的8场比赛中他收获了两粒进球。
